Post 870: Dougy — bullyboy or rough house player…?

Poor Andy! He and Dougy had a disagreement of some sort today and Andy spent most of the day avoiding his brother or hiding up high.

Andy spent a lot of the day on top of my dresser.

Dougy was on the prowl...!

Dougy was on the prowl…!

I hope the boys work it out by tomorrow morning because they have an appointment with their groomer and they have a reputation for being good boys….

Post 868: obsessively, I try to catch Dougy with his eyes open…!

I almost photographed Dougy with his eyes open today. Look closely and you can see a hint of his eyes. A sliver. A glint.

Dougy beat the flash again!

Dougy beat the flash again!

Dougy has such pretty eyes, it’s a treat when I can catch them in a photo!

His eyes aren’t quite that orange in real life, just in that particular artificial light. I’d call them yellowish-brown. The top photo accurately shows his pelage.

Post 788: Lemme see…OH! It’s Caturday!

Andy says “hi!” from my cellphone.

Post 737: Seriously, what was Dougy thinking…??

Andy’s a little guy, but don’t think he is a pussycat when Dougy steps outside well-defined kitty territorial lines! Yet he did just that.

It's obvious to all Andy's claimed not only the empty box here, but the over-turned wastepaper basket: "MINE!"

It’s obvious to all Andy claims not only the empty box here, but the over-turned wastepaper basket, too: “MINE!”

Yet even Andy has to take a break. So, despite Dougy’s presence in the room, Andy goes for a drink of water at the fountain. It won’t take long, he figures.

Andy out of the way, Dougy snoops at the box and makes plans to scrunch into it as best he can...!

Andy out of the way, Dougy snoops at the box and makes plans to scrunch into it as best he can…! There’s a saying: “When the cat’s away the…” Oh no, that was mice, not cat brothers! Never mind!

"No! No! No!" says Andy. Dougy gets caught in mid-snoop.

“No! No! No!” says Andy. Dougy gets caught in mid-snoop.

This won’t do! He gives Doug the “Screaming Mad Stink Eye that Makes Fur Fall Off Your Tail and Your Whiskers Take Off and Run” look all cats know is serious business. And Dougy knows it is serious business. Dougy heads on out, pronto! dougy gives it up for andy

Whew! Dougy got away with it this time, but only because he heeded Andy’s message. AND, though the magazines by the computer desk also are Andy’s, Andy can’t be both there and over at the box and wastepaper basket, too. Dougy plays his cards well!

One eye on Dougy and the other on the box, Andy verifies all is how he left it. Dougy's stink will leave soon enough!

One eye on Dougy and the other on the box, Andy verifies all is how he left it. Dougy gets away with the magazine matter this time !

Dougy once again finds out Andy is a tough little bugger when it comes to HIS things!

Must be time to feed the kitties. When I got up this morning — that is, when the cats got me up…– they both had innocent looks on their chops and all the wastepaper baskets were tipped over and rummaged through. They are not subtle!

Post 726: new photo of the boys…

One always tries hard to get a good, clear photo of Andy and Dougy separately, so it is especially pleasing when one manages to get one of the two little rascals in one photo!

That's Dougy in front, and Andy behind him...

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY! 🙂

Post 722: a black cat in a dark room…

Nothing like having a black cat in a dark room and no functioning flash! Here’s a photo of Andy illustrating the outcome of that situation:

In its own way, though, it has some charm, so I decided to post it today anyway.

Post 643: “catch a cat on camera” catastrophe

The boys looked really sweet after they got their prettied up at the groomer’s, and I wanted to show you just how cute they turned out this time. Yeah…!

No cooperation and a weak charge on my camera's battery equal crap phtos, such as this one!

The best of the Dougy photos: "If it's photo forget it. Our best is none too good" as we used to joke at the 69th Signal Company (Photo).

“Maybe I can do better with Andy,” I thought…!

Nope!

Nope!

Since this sad effort, I’ve recharged my camera battery. Seriously, though, their ‘dos turned out really cute!

Post 563: Andy was a good boy today.

It’s a good day when neither Andy nor I gets stressed out when it’s time for Andy to take his medicine like a big kitty. Today, he did just that! Good boy!

After cleaning up the mess the other day, I decided to start giving Andy and Dougy their kitty treats in a little cat dish instead of scattering the treats on the floor, which assures both cats have a better chance of getting some of them.

Mess containment - the kitty treats go into the little cat dish!

Cats being cats, however…

...Andy, of course, eats the treats over the carpet! Nothing gained for housekeeping, but the cats are happy.

Treats eaten, Andy scurried over to the cat lounger by the door. He likes that lounger because of the multiple escape roots from “The Man”!

Andy's a clever little guy. Here he watches me from the safety of the lounger by the door.

I love Andy and Dougy’s fluffy cheeks. What the heck, everything about Persians is fluffy but their teeth. I love the fluffiness of Persian cats!

This is a bonus photo. Sometimes the limitations of the little point and shoot Nikon I use result in oddly beautiful impressionistic photos, of which I think this one is one:

In many ways, I like this "mistake" best of all.

What do you think? Interesting or just a mess?
